Project Description
With this project implemented in rural villages in Tanzania that do not have access to electricity, solar-powered lighting kits were distributed and installed free of charge.
Thanks to the small solar systems installed for each house, lighting was provided at a level that could meet basic living needs.
In this way, students were able to study at night, families were saved from living in the dark, and security was increased.
Objectives
• Providing basic lighting in villages without electricity infrastructure
• Improving nighttime safety for women and children
• Offering clean and safe energy instead of kerosene lamps
• Improving the quality of education and social life
• Encouraging the widespread use of solar energy
Technical Casting
Solar Kit Content:
• 1 small panel (5–10W)
• 1 battery control box (with built-in LED screen)
• 2–4 LED bulbs (3W–5W)
• Phone charging output (USB 5V)
• Battery and regulator integrated structure
Features:
• 6–8 hours of lighting capacity per day
• 2 days of uninterrupted use with a fully charged battery
• Boxes with a fixed structure against theft
• Low-cost, high-durability material
Application Results
• 3,500+ houses were illuminated in 2021
• Kerosine use decreased by 90%
• Night work rate among students doubled
• Women’s rate of going out at night increased by 60%
• Employment created with 100% local assembly and maintenance training
